Grandma Ruth's Cranberry Ice
This delicious frozen treat goes great with the main course (especially if it is a turkey dinner) or as a refreshing palate cleanser.

Ingredients
- 1 quart cranberries
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 orange
Directions
- Boil cranberries and 4 cups of water for 8 minutes. Cook over medium heat until the berries pop. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.
- Strain mixture over a bowl with a sieve or food mill
- Add 2 cups of sugar, juice of 1 lemon, and juice of one orange to the bowl. Allow to cool, then transfer to freezer.
- When mixture has turned into a firm slush, remove from freezer and beat with a hand mixer. Place mixture back in freezer until ready to serve.
