Grilled Shrimp with Chesapeake Seafood Seasoning
Grilled Shrimp with Spicewalla Chesapeake Seafood Seasoning
This simple marinade packs a series punch - but don't be tempted to let the shrimp marinate for longer than 30 minutes. The lemon juice will start to cook the shrimp and make them tough.

Ingredients
- 1 large lemon
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Spicewalla Chesapeake Seafood Seasoning
- 1 pound jumbo (16/20) shrimp, peeled and deveined
Directions
- Heat a grill to high. If using a cast iron grill basket, preheat this along with your grill. A stainless steel grill basket will not need to be preheated (see notes).
- Juice half the lemon and add the juice to a large mixing bowl or marinade tray. Add the garlic, olive oil, and seasoning along with the shrimp. Toss to combine. Marinate for no more than 30 minutes.
- While shrimp marinades, cut the remaining lemon half into wedges and reserve for serving.
- Lightly oil the grill basket with a silicone basting brush. Transfer the shrimp from the marinade into the grill basket or directly on to the grill grates. Grill until well browned, about 2-4 minutes. Flip and cook until opaque throughout, 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer shrimp to a serving platter and garnish with lemon wedges.
