Pumpkin Spice Syrup
Homemade pumpkin spice syrup is simple, convenient, and I promise better than the stuff at Starbie's. Use it in coffee beverages, drizzled over pancakes or waffles, mixed into hot chocolate or in a cocktail!
Ingredients
- ¾ cup water
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup pumpkin puree (plain, unsweetened)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Make simple syrup: bring the water to a boil. Add the sugar, turn off heat, and stir until dissolved.
- Stir in the pumpkin puree, spices and vanilla extract. Cool completely. Store in a clip top bottle for in the fridge for up to 3 weeks for maximum freshness
