Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Homemade pumpkin spice syrup is simple, convenient, and I promise better than the stuff at Starbie's. Use it in coffee beverages, drizzled over pancakes or waffles, mixed into hot chocolate or in a cocktail!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup water
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree (plain, unsweetened)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Make simple syrup: bring the water to a boil. Add the sugar, turn off heat, and stir until dissolved.
  2. Stir in the pumpkin puree, spices and vanilla extract. Cool completely. Store in a clip top bottle for in the fridge for up to 3 weeks for maximum freshness
