Any variation in the finish of the item is due to the handiwork carried out in our workshops and does not alter in any way the culinary qualities of our dishes. Glaze Imperfections

Before any of our ceramics, pottery, porcelain or enameled cast iron reach you they have passed both manufacturer and our own quality control checks. We look for thin spots in glaze, excessive pin holing, chips, crazing, sharp spots, scratches, etc. There are some imperfections that are unavoidable - such as marks where a piece was held while glazing, or individual pinholes due to microscopic dust in the firing chambers. None of these imperfections affect the function of the piece and are not considered flaws for purposes of returns
